We seek to make a positive contribution everywhere we work.
We are making a positive difference in our local communities through education, sustainable development, stakeholder engagement and social inclusion. These areas fit with our business and enable us to maximize our investments, as well as the skills and expertise of our employees. In 2018, we supported more than 300 organizations worldwide directing more than $2.8 million to help our communities prosper and grow.
We also fund our philanthropic arm, the J. Armand Bombardier Foundation. In 2018, the Foundation donated Cdn $4.2 million to organizations, helping fulfill our social responsibility in our home community of Canada.

Bombardier supports charities, nonprofit organizations and volunteering activities to build strong communities, especially those in which we operate. To qualify for consideration, your project must:
- Have charitable or not-for-profit status
- Be aligned with at least one of our areas of focus
- Benefit communities in which we, or one of our major stakeholders, operates
- Generate measureable and significant economic and social benefits for the community
